Choose your preferred sunset date and tell Reservations your guest count, meal selections, allergies and any occasion details. The team confirms the price, availability, Maafushi meeting point, shuttle departure and planned return time before payment.

At check-in, your host and marine crew explain the shuttle and platform transfer, fit the required life jackets and help you board the covered circular craft. On arrival, staff assist guests one at a time across the designated landing. The platform is separate from land and remains open to sky.

Settle into your private dining space for a welcome mocktail, main course and dessert. Enjoy the sunset for 90 minutes on the platform. The host monitors conditions throughout; the crew brings everyone back to Maafushi by the confirmed safe return time.

Not suitable for

  • Guests who cannot safely board the shuttle or transfer to the platform under the approved assistance method. Please discuss mobility needs before payment so the team can assess options.
  • Guests unwilling to wear the required life jacket during transfer or follow the marine crew and host instructions. Children need a responsible adult and must meet the approved eligibility policy.

Reservations confirms the Maafushi meeting point, reporting time, shuttle departure and return plan with your booking. Please arrive at the time shown on your confirmation; late arrival may mean the craft cannot wait for the sunset return window.

Important information

Not allowed

  • Swimming or entering the water from the platform, climbing or leaning on edges or removable posts, or entering the boarding area without staff instruction.
  • Standing while the shuttle is moving, jumping between shuttle and platform, or using its central table or canopy posts as handholds.
  • Open-flame candles, loose decorations or unauthorized equipment on the platform. Follow staff directions on seating and photography.

Know before you go

  • Bookings are not open yet. The platform has five equal 12 ft sides and no land connection. Sunset sessions depend on safe weather, visibility, approved occupancy and marine conditions. Tell Reservations about allergies, children or boarding assistance needs. Prices are in USD; confirm the full total before payment. All times are Maldives local time.
  • Optional extras: Photo package USD 80 per couple; zipline USD 45 per eligible rider; cake USD 30; seafood main USD 25 per guest; occasion styling USD 45. The zipline is a separate activity with its own booking and safety requirements.
  • Guest allowance: Base price covers two paying guests. One extra guest makes the total USD 200; two extra guests make it USD 250. Four paying guests are the planned maximum only if the final platform and shuttle approvals permit that number.
  • If the skipper or activity team finds the crossing or platform transfer unsafe, the session may be delayed, changed or cancelled. Follow the crew’s instructions and keep your life jacket on during the water transfer.

Refund policy

Reservations provides the applicable cancellation, reschedule and no-show terms before payment and repeats them in your confirmation.

If Vahmaafushi cancels because of unsafe weather or marine conditions, choose an approved new date or the refund offered under the published booking policy.

Changes to guest count, menu or add-ons depend on availability and may change the payable total.

A separately booked zipline ride follows its own terms and eligibility rules.

Pet policy

Pet access to the shuttle and platform must be checked with Reservations in advance. Bring a pet only if the team expressly confirms that the trip and transfer can accommodate it.

Emergency contact

Tell your host or skipper immediately if you need urgent help. The team carries the current emergency contacts and follows its marine response plan.

  1. Welcome and check-in

    Meet your host at the confirmed Maafushi meeting point. Reconfirm guest count, meal choices, allergies and departure and return instructions.

  2. Safety briefing and covered shuttle

    Fit the required life jacket and follow the crew's instructions. Travel to the platform and board one at a time with staff assistance.

  3. Private sunset dinner

    90 minutes on the platform

    Enjoy a welcome mocktail, selected main course and dessert during 90 minutes of private platform time.

  4. Return to Maafushi

    The team assists you back into the shuttle and returns before the confirmed visibility cutoff. Check-in and travel time are additional to the 90-minute dinner.
